felt very good to ride my bike early this AM, and see many US flags on display. I couldn't help but feel pride in the USA and also appreciate those who have sacrificed and continue to struggle just to get us to where we are at this time.

Went to a Memorial Day parade a couple of hours ago

Standing on the sidewalk I heard about young mother ask three young boy’s if they knew the real meaning of Memorial Day. One little fellow, who looked to be about seven years old, answered that it was a day to honor service people who had died during their service time in the military. Smart kid. Too bad that a lot of college kids have no clue as to what Memorial Day really stands for. (Ref.: College kids signing petition to eliminate Memorial Day as a National holiday, and not knowing what it actually stands for.)
