issue with my Nuvi 2595

Hello all, I've had an issue with my Nuvi 2595 for some time now, comes and goes.
While plugged in and GPSing, it will sometimes switch off, then come back on in computer mode then back to normal and repeat. Sometimes it takes a few miles before it starts doing the above but it's frustrating.
I've tried different cords.
After one of the major updates it stopped for a few months but now it's started back up.
Bad USB port?
Since you have tried different cables without success, it sounds like you may have a bad USB port. If that is the case, it is probably not worth the price of repair, but you could check with Sharcnet-USA.

Same issue here
I got bad cable and replaced the cable and everything went well.
Wrap the cord and retest

I’d take one of the cables and wrap the excess around the mount. Do this to remove the weight of excess cord from the connector. If it stops, it is almost certainly the connector on the GPS. Having said that, I drove for about a year doing the wrapping, and never experienced any more issues. I then decided to just get a refurbished unit.
By the way, if the 2595 has a car charger, use it as opposed to a generic cord.
