I've upgraded my mid-2012 15" Unibody MacBook Pro to Catalina.
With each of the 3 APFS operating systems, something has been lost with each one. So I decided to put a 2TB SSD in to replace the 1TB, and then cloned each of the MacOSs to its own volume in the container.
Computers can be so time consuming!
