Philadelphia Eagles - Super Bowl Champions

Congratulations to the Philadelphia Eagles! Finally, they are Super Bowl Champions grin

The Patriots may have had the greatest quarterback and the greatest coach in the NFL, but that is why they play the game!

Ditto

Yes, congrats Philly. As always, disappointed the fans can't celebrate without rioting.

On another note, anyone else think the announcers were total homers for the Pats? I am surprised they could keep talking with their lips planted on Brady's a$$ the entire 4th quarter.

I was joking

that in this day and age, at best, Collinsworth would be in the CFL, Calgary or maybe Saskatchewan at best. It was totally bizarre how he made statements like he can't see the play not being called back etc. imho very irresponsible.

Find it amazing how Tom Brady does not shake hands, heard he did that to Eli Manning as well. Poor sport, great athlete.

Rioting? lol People are people. Even in Vancouver when they lost the Cup things happened. You want to see bad behavior? My wife and I went to mass when the Pope visited Phila. I have never seen such bad behavior, ever, the way people cut the line. So take everything with a grain of salt.

As an Eagles fan I'm glad they won. I grew up in New England and my dad is a lifelong Pats fan, so sorry for his loss...not!

A great game....

as it should be.

I enjoyed the Superbowl from

I enjoyed the Superbowl from beginning to end. It's been a tough year for the NFL with a lot of political and player health issues. This game seemed to move beyond that and back to what we watch for. A good clean, entertaining competition. As much as I'd like to see the Steelers in there, congrats to the Eagles for knocking off the dynasty.

Good Game

Philly!! Philly!!

New England is the Yankees of football. Let someone else into the Super Bowl winners club.

LOL!

Absolutely, but that's the way it is. The refs seem to have man-crushes on him too... it generally seems that CryBrady can usually get a penalty call in his favor while they look the other way when they do something as bad or worse to the opposing team.

I'm not a huge football fan (the wife is though), but even for me, that was an epic game. Much more interesting and exciting than most of the games I've seen. Had you on the edge of your seat to the end, wondering if Brady was going to pull a win out of his @$$ at the last minute, but there may not have been enough room for him to get that out with all those announcers' lips planted on it. mrgreen

An all PA Super Bowl would have been cool. Even if the Eagles had lost they gave us a great season, despite all the injuries to key players they just kept on marching toward the Bowl. It was one of the most interesting games I've watched in a while.

I'm glad the political crap didn't keep me from enjoying the season, life long home town fan, not a rabid fan but a fan nonetheless.

...you have to admit that Brady is one great football player. It will probably be a long time before another quarterback matches his stats.

No argument here

Oh there's no denying that. That's what made it even more interesting, the suspense of wondering if Brady was going to pull one of his miraculous upsets at the last minute like he is able to do more often than not. Otherwise the realized outcome would have been expected.

Roethlisberger is another one who seems to be able to move the ball down the field at the last minute with surprising regularity but being Raven's fans, we don't particularly care for him either. But you have to give him credit as well - I could see him stepping back up to the line of scrimmage with a compound fracture and as long as it wasn't his throwing arm he'd probably be saying "hand me that duct tape and let's play some ball!"

Enjoyed the part of the game

Enjoyed the part of the game I watched. One of the lowest ratings of people watching this year, maybe because of the 2 teams playing or maybe other reasons.

Good Win For The Eagles

To bad the fans couldn't show more pride by not rioting and raising hell. The city should stop all celebrations because of it.

I'd wager a little of both, the politics that infiltrated the game got quite a few folks upset, and lets face it, the Patriots have been in 10 Super Bowls and (my) Eagles have a history of choking when all the chips are on the line. The game may not have looked too appealing ... before it started. In reality it was one of the better "Bowl" games I've seen.
