Christmas is two weeks away but the weather is in the 60s. Doesn't feel right.

Survived a hit and run accident. Glad to be alive.

Its going to be a spring like weekend in the NYC area.
After last year's brutal and seemingly endless winter, I am not the least bit disappointed! Then too, I don't ski!

This past couple of months have been a mixed blessing. I had my annual physical exam on 9/30/15, just like I do every year about the same time. I stopped smoking over 16 years ago and my doctor told me she recommended a screening CAT Scan - just to make sure everything was fine with my lungs and that's when it hit the fan.

Many tests later I was diagnosed with Stage II B Lung Cancer. I've always been a fighter and optimistic about the world around me. My attitudes and opinions, with the help of many excellent doctors, nurses, and support personnel and my family and friends hit the cancer like a ton of bricks.

My surgery was the 3rd of December and the top lobe of my right lung was removed. I was released from the hospital on the evening of the 7th of December with all my doctors very pleased with my progress.

I'm at home now, watching Christmas Shows on my TV setting next to my wife, hoping you are all safe and well. Take extra good care of your body. Just like your car, your body needs check ups and preventive maintenance. Get your annual physical exams. If you smoke, try to cut down or quit. I know it's not easy but it may save your life.

If one did not know better you would think that after that major snow storm we had in the midwest that Spring has arrived. Very pleasant temperatures, into the 60's today.
