My favorite Files not updating from list...

When I checked My Favorite files a couple days ago, I noticed that Trader Joe's and Ford Dealerships had updated (Dated Dec 2) but I didn't have the check mark on them as 'new'.
Yesterday, I noticed that Aldi also was new (Dec 3) but again,there was no check mark on that file as 'new'.
As it turns out, All 3 had recently been edited by me..... To add a location, or change a location's data.
Could it be that 'My Favorite Files' knows where I store them locally here, and saw the fact that I had edited them? If so.. Second question.
I had edited those files prior to the dates indicated as new post: (Dec 2, Dec 3).
Why was there still no check mark....

I also saw the new Trader Joe's file without the check mark a day or two ago. I'm not sure how it happened but things seem to be working today with a check mark alongside the new Discount Tire file.

you might want to check to see if the wav file was updated and not the file itself.

Any change on the page, such as modifying the description or attaching a WAV file, will move it to the top of your "My Favorite Files" page.
The "new" indicator only shows when the *POI file* is newer than the last version that you downloaded.
In this particular case, a WAV file was recently attached; but there was no change to the POI file.

OK..... but another issue found...
Seeing that I downloaded the files... I checked them to see that the issues I found with each are fixed....
The Ford file has not been updated with the fixes I found for Taylog Ford in Waynesville, NC...
I quickly checked the co-ordinates, and the ones I posted before, and one I checked today with Google Maps don't match what is in the ford file...

A 2689LMT in both our cars that we love... and a Nuvi 660 with Lifetime Maps that we have had literally forever.... And a 2011 Ford Escape with Nav System that is totally ignored!

The 'My Favorite Files' feature tracks the time that you last downloaded the file from POI Factory. This time is used to determine whether or not to show the "new" indicator.
The 'My Favorite Files' feature doesn't know where files are stored locally on your computer, and it doesn't know if you've made any changes to them.

From what you describe, it sounds like the files you recently downloaded from POI Factory are the same as the files you originally downloaded. So these files would not contain any of the changes you made to the files that were already stored locally on your computer.
The "new" indicator is shown when the POI file that's published at POI Factory has been updated since the last time that you downloaded a copy.
To send in changes to be included in the published files, you should use the contact form on the maintainer's profile page.

I did submit them... As posted above, it could have been a WAV file update that showed it as new in the list... Not knowing what the cause of the update was, I checked all 3 files to see if they contained the changes I submitted.... Ford file still had old co-ordinates for Taylor Ford in Waynesville, NC. Since I over-wrote the file, I checked with Google Maps and re-editing it, as posted.

Updates
If you notified the author of the Ford file by the contact form and have not been notified back most likely the change has not been made. Looking at the file you can usually tell about its activity of any changes made.Don't always rely on My Favorites Files.Like posted even a wav or bmp added will change the standing.More information available by checking the file download area for last update.

Doesn't appear to have any changes for some time . I use this file because I travel a lot and want to know where a Ford dealer is in the area of the need does arise. I know this file has not changed for sometime .If some time passes without a change the UN-written process is to notify POI Factory and they can make the decision to enter a correction.Maybe you can volunteer to take over the file from the author.

Favorite Files hasn't been updating for me for months now. I thought it was strange that these files weren't updated for a long time, only to find out the Favorite Files page wasn't notifying properly.

But no checkmark is beside the file.... and the thread on the file says 43 new locations were added....
So..... It looks like something is broken.... ????

The new file is uploaded. I received an update from someone other than the maintainer and thought the transfer happened, but it had not.
Should be ok now.

Days Inn and Travelodge on
Days Inn and Travelodge on my system are considerably older (6mos - 15mos) than what is on this site. I did not have any "new" indicator.
