Well, the fires are still burning. I feel so sorry for people who were evacuated, then returned to their homes, now evacuated again. This includes the pets and farm animals owned by the evacuees. I hope this will be over soon so they can get back to their homes and lives.
Have a great rest of the week and week end and, please, take care of each other.

Complete "Fleet New Guy" (FNG), retired military (fully retired and on S.S. now) and just trying to figure out the POI stuff for my old Garmin Nuvi 765T. I've had the unit for several years, but never thought about using anything more than just the basic files and maps that come on the unit. Looking forward to learning more and eventually maybe being able to contribute to the group - right now just trying to read as much as possible.
Just returned from a 4000 km round-trip. GPS performed fine!
..another cycle ride along Hwy#2 in Eastern Ontario. But it might be 30+ degrees....kind of hot to be riding. Might need an extra Timmy's Ice Cap or two.
rainy week ahead
There's certainly alot to learn in our FAQ section http://www.poi-factory.com/faq/index and I would strongly recommend that if not already done in doing a complete backup of your unit http://www.poi-factory.com/node/30394
Once again welcome and have fun
