UPS guy just dropped off a box of computer parts at my door. It was so much fun opening a motherboard, power supply, and a chunk of memory. Waiting on the processor, case, multi-drive, and a few other bits.

Sounds like you are making your own computer.
My grandson, at 5, was so into electronics that my son bought the parts and talked the grandson all the way through making his own computer. The grandson did the actual work. It was an experience that even today, at 11, the grandson remembers, and he still has the computer.
When I would take them to the store to buy a toy the others would get a toy and he would want to go to the electronics. Once his toy was an extension cord. He loved putting cords together and pretending they were hooked up to his factories that he made.
Maybe an nonelectrical engineering someday?
