7 Year member (had) Pancreatic Cancer

thanks for the prayers

For the last 12 months I have been experiencing pancreatic attacks. They have taken biopsies from the bottom, top and through the abdominal wall. Thankfully they all came back negative. 8 weeks ago I had a kidney, NETumor, 3 feet of intestine and a gall bladder removed.
Those of you who have never experienced pancreatic pain have no idea how devastating it can be.
I am truly sorry 'Gadget_man'. Take your meds and try to lessen the pain.

You will be in our prayers gadget_man .Through prayer and faith all things are possible.

Lord,
Let our friend know you are there with him through this difficulty. Give him strength.
And may you, through this difficulty, be glorified in his life and also in ours.

We ask this in Jesus's name.

Thank you Angela for renewing this post. It is easy to forget when we have the in and outs of our daily lives.

Our prayers are with Jorge and his family.
I just went and read the last few updates.
His journey on this earth is a tough one and our prayers are for him to get through this journey and have many more wonderful journeys ahead of him.

I'm sad to report that Jorge passed away on May 26th.

I lost my father-in-law to pancreatic cancer. We were all in Ocean City having a great time and on the drive home he started having severe pain.

Subsequent scans and diagnostic tests revealed that he was already in Stage 4. He was gone in less than 6 weeks, it was unbelievable.

Try to enjoy every day, you just never know.

On an upbeat note, there is hope for others. About 5 years ago a close friend came back from a couple of months in the Rio Grande valley and looked jaundiced. Thinking he had gotten food poisoning and wasn't getting better he saw his doctor and after a number of tests was diagnosed with PC. Prepared for the worst but going forward with treatments in Dallas, they performed a Whipple and he was subsequently been deemed healthy, bought a new RV and with along with his wife takes bus tours across the country.

Jorge was young but for everyone, see a doctor at least annually, don't ignore any symptoms, get treatment early and keep your faith.

You've earned it.

This is what is so terrible about Pancreatic cancer. The vast majority of time there is no early warning.
