Hello from TurboCCC

Hi all,

I just made an update to EPE to fix the Geocoding problem. You'll find my post in the Garmin section.

I am just posting here to say hello. Many of you sent me emails. I did not get all of them because I have not been monitoring my emails at all. In fact, I was a bit worried to do so because it has been used everywhere. There are 1000`s of unread posts in there. It is even scary to look.

This being said, I am happy to contribute one more time to the POI community. I miss you all. My time here was fun and very rewarding. I learned a lot from all of you. Most of all, I miss your helpfulness (hope it is the right word) toward each other. I have not seen that much help toward each other in any forum I ever visited. Please continue to do so. It is the mark of great people.

Too bad we can't live chat. I think I have been missing much and it would have been fun to exchange on a lot of subjects.

I wish you well my friends. I hope the update will work well. I will visit a bit more in the next few days to ensure all is good.

Best regards,

TurboCCC

Missed much by all

Am glad to see a comment from you. Hope the job is rewarding - in more ways than one.

The biggest fear we all have is that MS (in their infinite wisdom) will create a new OS (WIN9?) and your program will no longer work. It has happened to us a few times with MS Access at work. We upgrade and then find out that some little routine that somebody wrote no longer works. Maybe they are creating "Job Security".

Come back for a visit more often.

lol! Chocolates...

I forgot about the chocolates. lol! Good one!

Some of you seem to remember I started a new job 2 years ago. It has been the start of a new chapter in my life. 2 weeks ago, I was promoted Director of R&D at the same company. So yes, life has been good to me. A new bunch of challenges just reappear in front of me. It is going to be great!

And, thank you to all who posted all those good comments. I`ll try to come back more often at least to say "Hi".

Too bad, Turbo wasn't promoted to Director of R&D at Garmin. We wouldn't be having the complaints that we have now.

But then again, what would we do if couldn't complain about Garmin?

p.s. Just fired up EPE 5.35 and it works great!!!!

Thanks TurboCCC! Your EPE continues to be the most useful program for managing my POI files.

Best wishes and good luck on your continued success.

TurboCCC,

Everyone was sad and fearful when you seemed to have disappeared one day and then happy when we heard you were doing well.

I'm just glad to hear your doing so well with new challenges ahead of you.

Thanks for taking the time for the EPE fix.
