Thanks Again to This Forum and Much Thanks for the Red Light Camera File

I'm putting this up in the general thread so everyone will see this.

Once again the POI Factory's red light camera file more than likely saved me from a ticket while driving around on vacation yesterday in Fort Myers, Florida.

It was a classic yellow light on approach scenario and I probably would have gunned it and more than likely been late and gotten a ticket. Thanks to the alert in my GPS I stopped in time and thankfully no one was tailgating me.

Thanks to all who contribute to this forum and thanks so much to the folks who maintain the red light camera intersection file.

We appreciate the thanks!

Seems like it always comes back to politics. LOL

Traffic Cams are political

another form of revenue gathering for give away programs.

Its all politics

I enjoyed the comment "seems like it all comes back to politics".

Politics is exactly what red light cameras are. It is a revenue stream for the government, plain and simple.
Politically connected companies administer the hardware and cash. Every now and then, they get caught bribing the politicians to install more of them.

Safety? Has anyone ever claimed a camera is the most effective way to increase intersection safety?

I'm happy you were save from

I'm happy you were save from a RL ticket and maybe an auto accident.

RLC File

I love the RLC file. Driving around with my mother-in-law, she was wondering what the alerts were for. When I told her, she asked me if it was legal. Until it isn't, I'll continue helping keep the files current, and updating my unit (and keeping my money in my bank account).

Once Again Thanks

Once Again Thanks to all who contribute to the site and especially the RLC file.

Oh Yeah!

Cheers!
