Stolen GPS

Someone broke into my car last night and stole my cell phone and GPS. Both of them were hidden in the car, in my arm rest.

Just wondering what people would recommend to replace the GPS. I'm mostly considering Garmin since they seem to be the most popular. Of course it needs to support custom poi's and announce turns, etc.

My insurance doesnt cover it since its not built into the car. Luckily they left the stereo, and my car.

Garmins

There are many Garmin Nuvi models that fit your requirement. I just ordered a 2595LMT (lifetime maps and traffic) to replace my 765T. The 765 still works great, but the new one is supposed to be voice activated, which will give me hands free operation. I started with a 350 and also have a 1390T. All have been great units. I would suggest going to Garmin's website to compare the units and then check Amazon.com for some great pricing.

Considering the Garmin nüvi 1490LMT model. Also forgot I would like free lifetime maps.

I recommend the 2460LMT.

I recommend the 2460LMT. It's feature rich and the voice activation features, traffic, and 5" screen are a must have!

3790LMT

I think the 3790LMT refurb at Walmart online for $159.98 is still about the best deal around.

Sorry to hear about your loss, but leaving such items in a vehicle is so inviting to a thief!!! Lesson learned.
