Jon or Angela,
This may have been asked before, but is there a way to get an email sent saying that a certain thread has been posted to?
This would be nice for we POI maintainers when someone makes a post to our POI discussion file. It is too easy to miss a post.
I know, I know, I have already bookmarked the thread. But, we older folks can't always remember to check it daily.
I realize that some users could go crazy and want to follow 100 threads, but you could set a limit of say 10 threads. That would keep the load down on the server and the number of emails sent down.
Of course, this feature may already be here, but I did not find it.
good idea
That feature isn't in the web platform version we're using right now, but it's something I'd eventually like to add.

User #1
I always wondered who was user #1. When this thread first popped on my screen I saw the name "zadmi". I never saw this name before so I clicked and saw it was user #1. when I returned to the thread JM's name now appeared in place of zadmi. Its magic!

OK, thanks for responding.
I knew it depended on what software the site runs, but thought maybe the feature was turned off as very pobular threads could generate a lot of emails.
Oh well, at least we now know that it's a possibility in the future.
