Lefse Today

My daugthers are working with Grandma to make Lefse today. It's a traditional Norwegian bread that's made from potatoes.

We eat it rolled up with butter and sugar. Yummy!

Am Baking Today

I am the designated baker in our house, so Pumpkin Pies are the order of the day. I have a recipe data base consisting of about 12,000 recipes, (Dutch Oven, Crockpot, Amish), so I am never at a loss for something new to try.

Thanksgiving... Again

We had an early Thanksgiving last Saturday with my wife's family before we left Indiana. Tomorrow, we are going out to dinner with some of their friends.

We'll probably wait out heading back home until after Black Friday... maybe Saturday morning.

Go Detroit Lions !

We will see how much the second place Detroit Lions (7-3) have really improved when we play the first place Green Bay Packers (10-0) today at 12:30pm on FOX. Here's hoping that the Lions get off to a good start, and play their best football game of the year.

Happy Thanksgiving !

Yea, I had to wait until the afternoon to pick up my new 1300LM. Actually went down to BB about 11:30 Thursday night for the 40LM for $85, but line was around the store so I gave up and drove home. Found the 1300 for $90 at Sam's the next afternoon, and the store was darned near empty of shoppers-either everyone was already shopped out, or they were scared to go out.

Black Friday

I woke up at 3 am on Friday morning. I decided to pick up some SD cards and thumb drives at WalMart. I wos the only customer in the store. When I left, there was still no cars in the lot... I had my 295w in the truck, so I took this picture of the downtown here in Aledo.

They're animated GIF picture files, and I have to agree... some of them are pretty darn cool.

Well, if I couldn't be first then at least I can probably be last. Hope everyone had a great weekend and Thanksgiving holiday.

There was nothing for sale

There was nothing for sale that I actually needed so I avoided the mad crush of people. The drivers here in Illinois are crazy on normal days why put up with them in a shopping frenzy as well?
