Does anyone have a suggestion or comment about voices for the Garmin? What about the KITT voice or PIG Tones voices? Are they decent and do they speak street names?
like Dr. Nightmare

None of the add-on voices do text-to-speech which is required for street names.

Additionally, most voices are celebrity impersonations and not very good either.
Thank you for the information . . .
I will not waste my money.
Not impressed
Of the few I've heard, I'm not impressed. That being said: None of them work on my StreetPilot which makes me a little jealous too
Dr. Nightmare
I like the Dr. Nightmare voice on my garmin. Got it from the Goarmin site at no charge.
Every now and then it throws in a random observation..."You don't like spiders, do you?"
Also, when you go off the suggested road, instead of "Recalculating" it says "Let me consult my magic book".
Kinda fun.
+1 on Dr Nightmare...
On LOOOONNNG trips (10 hours+ behind the wheel), I switch over to Dr Nightmare for a change of pace.
He's also great if you have someone unfamiliar with GPSs' with you.....
Always brings a smile

Too bad it don't exist in French...
I can see my wife's face as the GPS makes one of those remarks...
