Includes 125 locations in the following areas:

  • United States: NY
  • some may be in: NJ (near a border)

This file includes all 125 LIRR stations on Long Island and NYC, including the Hillside Facility, which is for employees only. The data comes from the LIRR website, and has been verified through a combination of Google Earth and traveling to many of the stations.

The points are of the actual station building or platform, and in a few occasions, my GPS instructed me to "navigate off road" to reach the point, usually meaning you need to drive through the station parking lot to reach the waypoint. In these instances, the routing took me close enough to see the station/platform.

This is the first POI file I've created, so any questions, comments or corrections are greatly appreciated!
