Major update 6/2010 with complete review of stations and locations from FCC database by Aardvark.
Welcome to the Radio Guys team.

This file contains locations for antenna towers of about 850 radio stations from an FCC database of educational and non-commercial stations, minus public radio stations. The FCC database was originally tapped for the coordinates of public radio stations, which have been posted to poi-factory in a different file. Those station tower coordinates have been removed from this file. User Bob Ball of Arizona extracted the stations and tower locations from two FCC databases. User Bob Brown in Florida verified some of the stations locations with Google Earth photos. User Maury Kahn in Texas created the spreadsheet file and prepared it for posting. User Aardvark reviewed and updated all location data from the FCC database in May of 2010.
Users should understand that in the midst of a lot of file manipulation there may be errors, omissions and duplication.

Updated 8/11/2007 to correct errors in AM station locations found by Peter Dougherty. Since correcting the calculation formula, Peter has checked and verified several locations with a personal visit.
