Includes 40 locations in the following areas:

  • United States: NC
  • some may be in: VA (near a border)

I have added 5 new state parks to the list. They are Chimney Rock, Dismal Swamp, Elk Knob, Haw River, and Mayo River. Note that the GPS coordinates for Hammocks Beach State Park are on the mainland at the Park Office. The ferry leaves from this location. The only access to this park is by ferry or private boat.

Please note that all of these parks are within the borders of North Carolina. The list was taken from the North Carolina State Department of Parks.
