Extra_POI_Editor problem

Morning all,
It's been four years or so since I posted, but, I'm getting back into this sport. I don't post much because I can usually find what I'm looking for with a diligent search.
Now to the problem:
I get a " Run Time error 383:
'Text Property is read only 'when I open the Preferences tab.
I installed this App with Extra_POILoaderV530.setup.exe
I am using WIN7 Home Premium.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Turboccc, who created EPE, addresses a 383 issue on the last couple of posts on page 6 and the first few posts on page 7 of the thread.

I used this installer and it did everything advertised for the first few times I opened the program. The error message is now showing up and crashing the program. Wierd.
I did uninstall and reinstall the program.
This only happens when I open the "Preferences" tab.
I do appreciate your help.

Turbo is a good guy and a good friend of all on this site! He has helped me and many others here with GPS issues we might be having, especially with EPE or one of his other useful programs.
Let Turbo know aboutr the difficulty you are having via his website or through this site. I'm sure he will give you the help you need to resolve this issue.

Found the problem!!
I have to run this puppy as Administrator on my system.
All functions work under admin!!

error?
If you get an error when opening the Preferences, I suggest to clear the TurboCCC registry section. Try this, it is easier than playing in the Registry but you will have to reconfigure EPE afterward as this will clear the entire EPE configuration.
1- Open a command-line window (Type "cmd" without quotes in the Start menu Run box).
2- Change the current folder until you are in the EPE folder. If oyu used the installer, it is most likely in "C:\Program Files (x86)\TurboCCC\Extra_POI_Editor" or something similar.
3- Type "Extra_POI_Editor -reset" without the quotes. This will clear the entire EPE configuration from the registry.
4- Once done, start EPE normally and check if the Preferences bug disappeared.
If not, just post the problem here and I will help.

Update:
Did the reset...no go on user side....good on admin side.
Created several other problems that I will list later because I have to go to Airport in the morning.
Also, Wifey is whining for some CHM time.
